Pissed Consumer Interviews ?

Could not use my preloaded travel card (Which I had organised pre-trip to pay for my accomodation) because of the cards origin. Was looking to book in the uk so listing was in GBP, my card was loaded with GBP, didn't think this would be a problem. But every time I tried to pay the amount was being converted back to AUD and so would be charged in AUD (Slugging me with a 6% conversion fee back to AUD from GBP). After three days of being shunted backwards and forwards between people, being told it was a system glitch or that I would receive a call back 5 times and hearing nothing, being told I needed to download a whole new browser or emptying my cache , or wait 24 hours and start again, not only did I miss out on one of the properties I was trying to book, but they finally decided to tell me it could not be done. I could not use my pre loaded travel card to purchase accomodation overseas, because It would always revert back to AUD. Pretty useless for a travel site, I suppose they must really enjoy charging conversion fees. Thanks a lot airbnb, you've literally ruined my holiday.

Airbnb - Denied promised money

Airbnb sent me a notice that they would be sending me a referral fee and then reneged. Their customer disservice department got back to me and requested that I refer others in the future to get a fee. There is no way to speak directly to the department you need to speak to.
