Pissed Consumer Interviews ?

Could not use my preloaded travel card (Which I had organised pre-trip to pay for my accomodation) because of the cards origin. Was looking to book in the uk so listing was in GBP, my card was loaded with GBP, didn't think this would be a problem. But every time I tried to pay the amount was being converted back to AUD and so would be charged in AUD (Slugging me with a 6% conversion fee back to AUD from GBP). After three days of being shunted backwards and forwards between people, being told it was a system glitch or that I would receive a call back 5 times and hearing nothing, being told I needed to download a whole new browser or emptying my cache , or wait 24 hours and start again, not only did I miss out on one of the properties I was trying to book, but they finally decided to tell me it could not be done. I could not use my pre loaded travel card to purchase accomodation overseas, because It would always revert back to AUD. Pretty useless for a travel site, I suppose they must really enjoy charging conversion fees. Thanks a lot airbnb, you've literally ruined my holiday.

Highway robbery - Airbnb robs/charges traveler 14% on top of rent and also takes 3% from onwer proceeds

I advertise my homes on Airbnb. I knew Airbnb deducted 3% from my proceeds, but did not know the traveler is also charged 14% to book on Airbnb site. I do not believe Traveler's know this fact. That "service fee" you see is not something an owner is charging. It is NOT tax. Save yourself money and seek the same house on a different website. Ask the owner a question first, before plunking down your credit card. Often the owner can link you to their direct number. Airbnb, VRBO, Homeaway, removed owner's contact information to rob traveler an owner. Look on TripAdvisor. The are less expensive for all.

Airbnb - No refunds

Buyers beware, no refunds after 48 hours. Our March event was cancelled in January. Too bad, more that 48 hours after booking, so we are stuck. I will stick with hotel reservations from now on.

Airbnb - Where's the wonderful first review?

I'd like to know what happened. I got paid for being a great host to a man who stayed one night in my single king size bed, asked for more luxury softness towels he'd ever had, pleased he could arrive late after 8.30pm and remarked how great the shower was as I had recently renovated my bathroom. Even had a selection of pillows and bathrobes for him. As I had eco shampoo and soap. He was also rather pleased to be staying in a quiet area and said I could stay with his sister where he lived. Extremely polite. We both wrote reviews BUT I haven't got my published on my Airbnb site yet. What happened???

Airbnb - Worst experience

Horrible experience with Airbnb. We've had about 5 instances with airbnb where the guests brought extra guests to the place. They book for 1 or 2 guests, then there's 3, 5, 8 guests coming in. We have video footage, took screenshots of these and we filed a claim with airbnb. Airbnb denied all claims saying that all these video footage is not enough evidence that the guests had extra guests!! Our listing clearly states that no extra guests are allowed, they will be charged fees for these and Airbnb just denied it! If that wasn't proof there were extra guests, I don't know what proof they think is valid!! Aibnb contact me about this icpm3245@gmail.com

My experience with airbnb's was in Poland in November 2018 where I stayed in 4 different airbnb's--2 in Warsaw and 2 in Krakow. My goal was to find "nice" places on a low budget. I have several complaints listed below: 1. Airbnb won't give you the exact address of a...
