I booked housing on Airbnb from Massachusetts to stay in Santa Barbara CA between March 7 and March 13.I went to the property on March 7 and could not stay there because I had a strong allergic reaction to the cat whose litterbox was in a closet left open in the small one-story condo.

The cat had the run of the place, and it was loaded with tchotchkes and dust-catching stuff. The place was extremely small, and I immediately was aware of eyes burning and congestion building.

The owner said "tough luck," when I had to leave and refused to even consider a refund.I filed a dispute for resolution with Airbnb and never heard back from them despite repeated calls.

I liked: Many previous rentals.

I didn't like: Never before had such an unreasonable host, Getting a problem fixed, Unreasonable host and no recourse to fix problem.
