Airbnb - Beaten outside of AIRB&B in Washington DC
On August 2nd 2016 I booked a townhouse on 4th Street North West B in Washington DC. After arriving at 7:30pm from Washington Reagan Airport via UBER I changed clothes and went to meet a friend for dinner.
At around 9:30pm I was walking back from the restaurant and was attacked from behind by 3-Black teenagers. They beat my face so bad that I had a concussion, broken nose, cuts and broken teeth. People from New Zealand that were walking nearby and witnessed the incident said they appeared to be part of a Black Lives Matter demonstration. I ran to the center of the street where there were lights and people started coming out of their homes which caused the PUNKS to run off.
I was then taken by AMBULANCE to the hospital where I spent the next 24-hours. After being discharged I immediately went back to the townhouse and gathered my luggage and flew out of DC back home as fast as I could.
I notified my AIRB&B Host Erin St*^*&^*s and she never responded back to me in regards to the hoorific attack I experienced utilizing AIRB&B.
A few days later I reached out to AirB&B and explained the situation and I never heard back from the company support center either.
All in all you are SAFER to stay at traditional Hotels and Resorts where you are afforded some protection and familiarity.
I WILL NEVER stay at another AirB&B again. And I travel for my job and spend an average of 240 nights in Hotel Rooms.
