New ReviewerThe host, Deb in Ridgecrest, did not mention she had security devices in her listing, which is illegal in CA. When I questioned her about the Ring device, she mentioned that she had motion sensors on her windows, as well.
However, she didn't modify her listing to include either of these. After I mentioned that she had a Ring device in her review, she said that she had modified her listing. However, the listing wasn't modified. After AirBNB got involved, she mentioned the Ring device in a few brief sentences in a long, descriptive paragraph, as well as under "House Rules." However, Deb did not mention her devices in a clear and conspicuous manner.
Her device is not mentioned under the "Health & Safety" section of her listing and "Security cameras on property" is still crossed out under "Amenities" in her listing.
I have made numerous complaints to AirBNB for her to modify her listing for clear and conspicuous disclosure, but her listing remains the same. AirBNB could care less ...
User's recommendation: You Will Be Spied On and AirBNB Could Care Less ...
Monetary Loss: $1007.
Preferred solution: Would like: an apology; to modify the listing so that her security/recording devices are mentioned under "Health & Safety" and to make sure that "Security Cameras on Property" under "Amenities" is not crossed out; credit for being spied on and lied to. .
Airbnb Pros: Option of staying in a house.
Airbnb Cons: Host was not abiding by california law, Outsourced customer service who does not comprehend, Does not protect the privacy of their guests.
