Airbnb - Air BNB sucks
I booked a place in Miami that listed free breakfast, beer, oceanview, and 3 bedroom. When I arrived there was a half empty case of eggs, milk, cookies, etc.
There was 2 boxes of beer and liquor bottles with less than shot in the freezer. The linens were wet in the washier, another set in a trash bag, and a load in the dryer. The condo was on the 8th floor so sure you could see the view from the ocean 3 blocks away. The living room had a trundle bed and futon that was noted as the third bedroom.
The place was covered in black hair when we arrived including the beds that had no blankets. The bathrooms were not clean. We ended up at walmart at 3am purchasing blankets, pillows, towels and lysol. There was no fire alarm and the owner OBVIOUSLY was subleasing illegally as he waited until I was getting of the plane to email instructions of how to gwt thrpugh the gate and let the guard know I was visiting him and do nit meantion Air BNB.
When I contacted Air B&B on arrival, they told me to take photes to submit. They allegedly took the complaint, the agent told me she would be handling it from start to finish. I was told the policy was to allow the owner 24 hours to fix the issues noted on the complaint. The following morning I received a call from the screaming owner.
I asked for a refund of the $1300 I had paid to find another place. Later that day I contacted Air B&B asking for the agent I spoke to the day earlier, I was told I had to speak with whoever took the call.
That agent advised theu would not approve any refund without approval of the owner inspite of nothing being done. Day 3 the owner called and advised he would refund $174 and I took three months for the refund.
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
