Need to speak with customer rep

A customer has managed to book and automatically get confirmed from 14th to 17th July, 2020 in to our airbnb. This is not we usually do,we do not know what happened because we never got any request like we normally used to. It seems like there was an automatic adjustment of our regulations in the airbnb system. Is it possible for your office to adjust and remove the confirmation because we are not our airbnb is not going to be available on those dates. We are in Bergen Norway and our airbnb's name is : "Best price home away from home, 8 mins from town."

Poor handling of cancellation and rebooking location with no explanation available re additional charge. Misleading information re cancellation protocol regarding COVID 19 so deposit was not refunded

Unable to get information regarding an additional charge that was put on aa booking when I had to change dates due to the COVID 19. I thought my cancellation would be done in accordance with the Airbnb information of May 1/20 as my booking was within the specified date range.

Pissed off!!!

I have been banned from the airbnb community with absolutely no explaination as to why. I was sent an email saying that I would be refunded for the last reservation and any future reservation and I have not yet been refunded. I have called 20 plus times and each time was told That I would get a call back from the right department and still have not gotten a call. Is this really how you people do business? what a joke!!!! 719 271 **** Aubrie Wittmer

I need to apply for a refund of my trip to Formentera 8th of June to 17th of June but your site makes it impossible, which is breaking the law. Please contact me on the above email address or phone number as I am about to contact a consumer rights lawyer to collect the money. Thank you.

Covid 19 policy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Airbnb has not extended their extenuating circumstances policy for cancellations despite 14 day quarantines upon arrival in many countries. I cannot afford a 14 day quarantine while traveling and then a 14 day quarantine upon arrival back home, thats a month of just quarantine! I do not have the time or money to do this. My Airbnb hosts will not cancel my reservations with full refunds, I have about $1500 in reservations outstanding due to hosts who wont cancel...theres no way I can even visit these places as I only have 2 night reservations. Airbnb should extend their policy for international travelers until quarantine rules are lifted.

"extenuating circumstances policy" Here's what you do, pull the terms YOU agreed to, find this clause and you're good to go. If you don't have this clause in the terms YOU agreed to and were too stupid to buy trip insurance, you get what you get.

Act like a grown-up and deal with your foolishness. "You must work for them."

Cancellations

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I am not happy about one of your customer support persons agreeing to provide a full refund to a booking that is two months away based on a current travel ban in place that doesnt state an end date however she says its in place for 6 months. We dont know what will be happening in two months time? I cannot see where it states it will be in place for 6 months but if that information is correct then please go ahead and cancel all of my bookings and provide full refunds to all guests with bookings for the next 6 months under the extenuating circumstance policy clause so I can open my calendar up to booking.com guests since I find this so frustrating on Airbnb behalf not protecting hosts income when booking.com will.

They take your money even in this Pandemic situation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
If I were everyone, your safer with booking.com. I am going to write an article about them. They take your money even if your cancellation is due to Corona Virus Outbreak. The host babes me that she went bankrupt and Airbnb is charging you their service fee, and all other fees. Saying cz they entertained you. I booked February 28 and cancelled 3 weeks later. They all refused until It get to the point that I had to email the Florida Attorney General and so on. I am a business owner myself and I had to break my policy and follow government protocol and respect peoples priority and pockets. Please Im begging you, do not book with Airbnb. Booking.com is about the same price and better people

User's recommendation: Booking.com . DO NOT USE AIR BNB. And make sure you save all your conversation with them. They change their minds and manipulate you by telling you to cancel close to you dates. That’s so they can deny more money!

They have charged us service fee of $1062,15 for finding vacation rental for 2 months in Cape Coral,Fl.We were under impression that $1000 was a security deposit and $62,15 was a finders fee.The owners assured us that we would get our deposit back, but Airbnb decided that $1062,15 was appropriate charge for finding this place on their website. It's mind boggling that they have audacity to charge such a fee and getaway with it!People should be aware of this and be very careful dealing with Airbnb.

Refund problem

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My visa debit card they want to put my refund in has been cancelled, I don't have this account anymore and after 1hr 20mins the bank told me the refund would bounce back to Airbnb. I have used another visa debit card from my new bank to pay for a booking why can't the refund go on that card? I have had it no more Airbnb if they can't sort it, it is my money floating around in cyber space. I am in lock down for 4months so can't go on my holiday and just want my refund, simple request.

Pros:
  • Have great places to rent
  • Variety of homes
Cons:
  • Airbnb nonexistant customer service
  • Uneducated staff

Preferred solution: Put the refund in my heritage account, simple people change banks and visa debit cards a lot because of fraudulent activity on their account and mine was over $3,000

User's recommendation: Beware this is a pandemic and they are still taking fees.
