Guest knowingly laid false allegation claiming I had video camera which in actuality was a momento adorned to a piece of walk art a lid from the last gift my mom gave who has passed away a cologne bottle lid. She threatened to report me and claimed it illegal in in the face of factual truth and evidence it posed no rush or harm.

She first claimed it was because my bathroom was not compatible left with no communication. I had addressed this concern some ten days prior stemming from a question she asked about the bathroom wanting to know if it's pvt. I only have one it is shared. I suggested she find another listing better suited to fit her needs and stated if she cancelled I would fully refund however that was written in the context that there was still a large enough window had she done this I very well would have found another booking.

She did not respond. She arrived on check in date aome week later and then did exactly what I had foresaw all along and left claiming the bathroom as why. She had taken my keys so upon returning after being informed she was on the hook for cancellation charges was then when she made this alleged claim I quickly dispelled in which she instead of apologizing for got angry and mad and started threatening to have me reported. She did just that and I was punished severely for doing nothing but trying to accomodate a crazy guest who failed to see I had already stuck my neck out for her once so she could correct a mistake she made in booking from failing to read my listing and he failed to even read the answer to her question that would have provided us both the best out and now 8m out of a means of earning money because airbnb banned me for life because they couldbt be bothered to ask 1 question or call me during the investigation and resorted to suspend me punish me and ban me for life over this ridiculous ordeal.

Six months later still fighting to be heard and listened to. Finally pressing charges against the guest and airbnb just hung up ob me when I asked for her last name to provide to police report that I should have filed six months ago instead of trusting them

You can not shut down my account based on unfounded and not true circumstances and unjustifiable lies that haven't Grounds of truth and are void of justice.

Please explain to me, why my air bnb account was shutdown. And learn to fear God and stop lieing and doing what is unjust to innocent women such as myself.

I rented an Airbnb from Andrea through Airbnb. The property is at 111 Sebring circle Lehigh acres Florida from December 29th 2023 thru January 4th 2024.
The first night of checkin someone broke into my 2021 Ram 1500 crew cab- smashing out the RR window in a theft attempt.

I contacted the Sheriff, the host, and Airbnb.
The host gave me the run around the whole time, Airbnb totally ignored me, and not sure what the sheriff is doing.
While cleaning up the glass from where it was parked in their driveway I found glass from a different window. Which leads me to believe a previous break in had occurred. Theres security cameras mounted on the garage but the host wouldnt provide me with the footage. My daughter was scared the whole trip.

I posted a review on Airbnb to warn future renters but Airbnb removed it. The host called it an unforeseen event with some window damage.

It was a crime causing $453 in damage to my truck.
I asked Andrea to file a claim with her insurance but she claimed it was Airbnbs responsibility. We had to spend the whole trip and drive 2000 miles home with a missing window.
I wanted to leave a review as well as respond to their reply to let everyone know of the potential danger when renting this property.

Airbnb customer service is the most pretentious I have ever come across. They do not care about their customers.

I checked into a property with dirty bed linen and a repulsive smell. I immediately contacted the host to let him know that we would not be able to stay due to the uninhabitable conditions. I also contacted Airbnb customer service because the host got textually aggressive when I asked for a refund. Customer service hang up on me the first time I called.

I called again the next day and Airbnb customer service pretended to investigate in a caring manner. I spoke to a different person over five days of trying to resolve my case. At some point I was asked to describe the smell. I wasted time sending evidence and responding to questions.

The last message from Airbnb simply mentioned that the host refused to give me a refund in line with the cancellation policy. I was also charged service and cleaning fees for a property I did not stay at. Does Airbnb hold basic standards of cleanliness at all? Airbnb expects guests to sleep in a bed with used dirty linen if your host does not provide clean sheets.

To Airbnb, that is minor and simply unfortunate. Airbnb blocked my account after that.

So you only were there for a couple hours? If you were there longer or even one night that puts into question and justifies cleaning fee. If you left in a couple hours, they would have record of that plus your receipts from where you ended up staying.

Hearing without listening is a trait that Airbnb customer service values. We were in the flat for ten minutes utmost - about five minutes looking around and three minutes waiting for the person who had checked us in to hand back the keys, plus show and explain the evidence of why we were not staying.

Immediately, uninhabitable [originally misspelt] and repulsive are the key words. Yes indeed, I provided Airbnb customer service with receipts of where I ended up staying.

I've used airbnb for years. Never had a problem.

5 stars to me always. Apparently airbnb has a policy about guests with past felonies. I personally don't have felonies, but my Army Vet, PTSD, Disabled son does. Sober 5 years now, no issues.

I reserved for him for a short visit to see me. I was not trying to be sneaky. I provided his email for itinerary. A background check was run, he was banned from using this platform.

They could have simply told me that he could not stay at an airbnb. I would've simply made other arrangements. Instead, they banned me, and removed my from their platform. Appeals denied.

I've booked many times for family and relatives who are coming to visit. I have used airbnb for my trips. Never ever a problem. I was banned for having a close association to someone who was removed from their platform.

Close association... he is my son. So I guess anyone who has family that may have a past full of mistakes should be sure to not let anyone at airbnb know that or you will be removed for a close association. Guilty..

You can thank the people that previously abused Airbnb and held underage parties or had violated occupancy limits. There have been many cases of owners being sued when drugs, underage drinking or other crimes took place.

They were accused of just wanting to make money. The owners now pay a hefty insurance bill and I’m sure that vetting is a requirement.

I get your point, and yes people do abuse rentals, however this was not the case here. My son is 38.

A long way from being underage. More thought and maybe just ask me some questions before removing me when I have a stellar record.

That's sad. I myself have past felonies, it has been 7 years since.But what I find truly unfair, that there are millions of felons in America, many of have no disturbing or deviant behaviors..may of us did stupid stuff in our younger years , but have grown up and are tax paying, and working members of society.

Yet, we have this permanent stigma attached to us for our entire lives. There are many felonies that are ridiculous..the failing to yield for emergency vehicles..I signed my mother's name on my trust withdrawal slip and was given a felony forgery, even though my mom had told them NOT to press charges,..we should have a chance to redeem ourselves if we are doing the right thing

I agree with you 100%. My son is doing great now.

But he accepts the consequences of his actions. However, this "guilty by association" means they removed and banned me from the platform. I have no criminal past. Not even a parking ticket and all of my reviews for myself or my guests have bee 5 star.

He lives 2000 miles away from me. We don't travel together.

There customer service is rubbish, I spent 3 days trying to get my account unlocked ( locked for reasons I have no idea about )

After 3 days of ringing them and messaging them they failed to do anything, on several occasions they told me that the correct department was going to contact me but it never happened, I was always polite and never confrontational but just went round and round with no result, subsequently I missed out on two different quality places ( they missed out also ) in the end even after telling them I was going to go to other platforms to book my accommodation ( was going to spend thousands and told them that ) they still couldnt be bothered to sort my issue, I truely feel they think that they have a monopoly on the market but to be honest I am happy I went elsewherethere loss not mine, in short they missed out on my custom through there absolute rubbish customer service

Airbnb canceled my reservation in the middle of the night while I was at the house. Didn't give me a reason why I said they issued a refund but the refund says $0.

I spoke with five different people today. They all give me the same answer. They turn it over to the specialized team and that it was no phone number to be contacted and that they will contact me as soon as they can. I was out of town working.

That was the money I had to stay at a place so needed. I have a place or my money bag so I had to sleep in my car.

I expressed this to each representative and they all said the same thing as if I was talking to a robot and if I don't get any answers by tomorrow I'll take legal action. The company I work for is notified and their lawyers will be dealing with it not me

I booked an Airbnb for thanksgiving for my family. I own a home but the one I rented has an open concept I needed for my family.

I accidentally booked one guest but I messaged the host right away to fix it. She messages me back right away saying shes be more than happy to accommodate me and my guests. I booked on the 15th. She then waits until the 21st once cancellation policy is in effect.

To let me know its 4 guest only and she cant accommodate me and this is after the fact she confirmed she could. I asked for a refund but she wanted me to cancel on my end so she still gets the money instead of giving me my full refund amount! I messaged and call Airbnb support explain the entire situation but because she is a super host and its after the cancel date id basically lose out! To me I feel like she saw my name a black girl named and assumed the worst.

The area we booked is mainly White and in the description it asked what are your plans whos coming its as if shes going to be somewhere watching with binoculars. So instead of canceling I told her Id be keeping my reservations which I never canceled she wanted to & she has yet to reply. Airbnb is supporting scammers aka super hosts. Ive never had an issue until now and after reading all of these reviews I see Im not alone.

I hope a lawsuit is underway very soon! The home I booked was the Mississippi River home in Illinois!

I would like to have someone from customer service get hold of me regarding a booking my husband made on Air B&B for an apartment in Paris.
I want to be able to send videos of the apartment that had major construction while we were there. The whole building was covered in scaffolding and work started outside my bedroom at 7 am every morning.

The host was not transparent about the construction taking place when he took the booking and we would like a refund. If we had known about our holiday being disrupted everyday by the on-going construction we would never have booked the property.
So right now I cannot rate any customer support and I would be very grateful if someone could contact me about this issue.
My husband, Mike Musgrave made the booking but has asked me to deal with the situation as he is too busy with work to spend time chat especially as there is a time difference.

Airbnb cancelled my reservation without my knowledge. When I inquired the "somewhere in the world", so-called customer service falsely claimed that I cancelled the reservation which is not true. This is a new invention of Airbnb to take the money paid and rent the place over and again. They took my prepaid rent and rented the place again for the time which was supposed to be rented to me. A perfect scam. Small claim court is not subject to arbitration, so, it is a lawsuit for Airbnb
